Nutrient Deficiencies

So how do we know if we are deficient is a vitamin or a mineral? There are many signs that our body is telling us, this short blog will talk about some of them.


Magnesium is deficient in a huge percentage of the population, some say upwards of 95%. Some signs of lacking Magnesium are:

  • Sensitive to noise
  • Craving chocolate
  • Migraines
  • Muscle cramps, tightness, spasms, weakness
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Osteoporosis
  • Insomnia
  • Irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure
  • Diabetes, Insulin resistance


Zinc is another mineral that can often be deficient; some signs you are lacking Zinc are:

  • Loss of taste and/or smell
  • Impaired immune function, infections, colds, flue, slow wound healing, etc.
  • Reproductive/infertility issues in men and women
  • Proper growth in children
  • Problems with nails and hair
  • Brain health and emotional wellness
