Your thyroid gland is a butterfly-shaped gland in your neck which produces hormones essential for regulating your body's metabolism, temperature, heart rate, and growth. When your thyroid function is unbalanced, it can cause Hypothyroidism (underactive) or Hyperthyroidism (overactive), which can affect virtually every body system, leading to symptoms like weight changes, fatigue, temperature changes, hair/eyebrow loss, anxiety and more. Hypothyroidism is more common, in fact it’s quite common and does not always show up on a doctor’s lab test.
Our Thyroid gland has Iodine Receptors and when we do not get enough Iodine in our diet, other chemicals like: Bromine, Fluoride, Chloride, and Perchlorate, latch onto the receptors. This causes issues such as Hypo, Hyper, cancer and other Thyroid issues. Bromine is often contained in store bought breads and baked goods, the other three can be ingested through our water supply. These chemical toxins bind to our Iodine receptors on our Thyroid glands; when we take in Iodine, this displaces the toxic chemicals, then your body can excrete them. Much of our population is now deficient in the mineral Iodine.
