Calm Your Anxiety

It's so easy to become anxious in this world, as there are so many things to worry about. What happens when anxiety takes over? They say the more we think about something, the more we give that topic our energy, the more likely it is to happen. Here are some ways to calm your anxiety:

  • Breathe, stop and take some deep breathe. Breathe into your heart until you feel calmer, even a little bit calmer. We often hold our breath when we are anxious.
  • Get out in nature, go for a walk, even a short one, get out and tend to your garden if you have one.
  • If you have a pet, play with them, brush their coat, talk to them, give them a hug.
  • Get a hobby you enjoy that takes your mind off of the worry.
  • Find an essential oil blend that calms you, breathe the sent in deeply a few times.
  • Sit quietly and take yourself out of the issue, see it from a larger picture, look at how things are connected, look at what sets off your anxiety, write down what you can do about the situation.
  • Keep a daily journal of your feelings, your anxieties, what sets it off, who in your life helps to set it off, write it all down, then write down possible solutions. Ultimately, you are the only one responsible for your feelings, no one else is to blame, although certain people can set off your triggers.
  • You can also keep a food and drink journal to see if certain items bring you anxiety. Too much sugar, artificial foods, fast foods, not eating on a regular basis, alcohol, cannabis, etc.
  • Certain supplements can be great for anxiety: L-Theanine is one of the most used natural supplements for anxiety, GABA is another one, Ashwhganda, Kava Kava, CBD, Passion Flower, Magnesium, B Vitamins, True Hope EMP Power, Chamomile, Lavender, etc. Do consult with your doctor/pharmacist if you are on medication for anxiety and depression.
  • Listen to some wonderful people on Youtube:
